I don’t recommand this place because it was too expensive for what it was but i DEFINITLY recommend in Roma norte if you don’t need to go too often in your university because it is one of the best to live but it was a bit far from the uni.
What are some top bars, clubs, or events you recommend?
There is a bunch of companies that organized a lot of events such as trips or parties… Such as Hang Out Mexico or Connexion and also Discourse parties are nice for exchange students. But what was best things that happend to me is to make mexican friend. If you speak basic spanish (i was level b2 at the beggining of my exchange) you can easily make local friends because people are soo nice. I made friends with people of my uni, my gym, my laundry, my coffee shop, my pharmacy, friends of friends, bartenders, chef… and theses guys will bring you to really nice places or even others cities because they all have huge families so they basically always know someone in another city. For example when i travelled to puebla or guadalajara i hang out with friends of others friends or family members of my friends just because my friends called them and asked them to show me the city… So learn basic spanish and be open and your social life will be AMAZING you will learn what familia means over there and “mi casa es tu casa” also. ;)
Which classes do you recommend… or not?
I study business so if you don’t want to work too much i recommand “Bloques comerciales international”.
Do you have some tips?
The campus was small but nice the administration is really here to support exchange students and even professors or students and the international team made a lot of events for us so i definitly recommand this university !
Best trips to do?
Really easy to travel from mexico city you can have planes or bus to travel all over mexico. The bus over there are pretty cheap and actually comfortable to travel so i recommand to use them a lot if you have time ! For the plane be carefull of the company Volaris which is not trustfull and be carefull with the transports from airport because usually Uber drivers are not permitted to come pickup someone at the airport (in Mexico city for the AIFA airport it is forbidden and for the most of the airport of Mexico in general also) so i recommand you to take the contact of one uber driver who was nice and just text him one day before if you need a ride from the airport to your house. When you will travel to others cities also do that with chofers and for the first time when you will land in a city that you will visiting ask people who work there where uber drivers are allowed to pick you up because usually you just need to walk 5-10 minutes at a specific point and that’s good. This problem doesn’t concerned bus station from what i know and also don’t take taxis because they are REALLY expensive. If Uber doesn’t work you can also use “Indrive” it is cheaper but takes more time to be pick up.
What do you absolutely need to know to live your best life in Mexico City?
It is raining season in Mexico for August, september so bring an umbrella with you everytime during theses months and usually it rain at 5 pm so BE BACK home before or you will be stuck because it s raining so hard. Water is not drinkable so buy it ! For safety i never feel insecurity just don’t go to some dangerous neighbourhood such as “Tepito” and everything will be fine. Be carefull with spicy if you re not use to it especially with the chef tell you that “the sauce is not spicy” because for me it was always spicy so try it before putting in your food ! And just really talk with your drivers, friends from the university… they will recommand you the best spots ! For transports i recommand you to take Ecobici which is the bike system here in CDMX it is pretty cheap and a nice city to do bike but be carefull with cars over there because they drive crazy ! If you want to go in car somewhere know that the traffic here is really bad so if your apps tells you that the ride is 30 minutes, take 1 hour to be sure to be there in time !
You will love this city be respectfull and everything will turn so great and talk with locals you will be do things that you never expected because CDMX is a crazy city !

Solo trip in a hostel is amazing. Yucatan is mandatory to do, rent a car for flexibility. Guadalajara, Puebla. Costa Rica. USA is close.
What do you absolutely need to know to live your best life in Mexico City?
Mexico City is one of the best cities here because it is safe and you can walk around nice neighbourhoods during the day without problems.
If you rented a car, have a bit of cash on you (max 500$MXN) because cops will stop you and ask for payment. Make Mexican friends, they are the most welcoming people on earth. Practice your Spanish with them as they are very patient.

How can someone find this place?
Hangout (Joao) - +52 55 7379 5238
Would you recommend it?
I would recommand to choose a place with them bc they are super nice, friendly, safe and most of all, extremly responsive. Moreover, they throw a lot of parties (like every week) and organize some trips too. My first place wasn't the best but it was because it was last minute so it was the only apartment left but they have several others options (small apartments, bigger ones...) so I would definitely recommand it.
What are some top bars, clubs, or events you recommend?
Departemento = every Thursday they organize a International students parties so definitely recommand that even if the price to enter the club is a bit exepensive (250 MXN so around 12,5 euros). Clubs in Polanco are nice with different type of musics and the atmosphere is chic. Lullu is a very good club to see some DJs from all around the world (techno, house, electro...). La Pescaderia is alos nice if you like house music and chic atmosphere. Cometa is also really nice for that. Both clubs look great. Purisima is a LGTBQ+ club, more international music but also reggaeton. Not chic but very fun. You also have to go see Lucha Libre there. It's very popular in CDMX. It's like fake catch but the atmosphere is very nice. You have to go to Xochimilco too with your friends in order to spend a afternoon on a boat, to drink alcholol and listen to music and see Mariacchis. I have a lot more options but honestly the night life in CDMX is every day and everywhere. You will always find nice bars, clubs and restaurants adapating to what mood you want, around you.
Which classes do you recommend… or not?
I'm studying Business and honestly I feel that every class of it are very chill so it's not very stimulating, it's very easy so I wouldn't recommand any class.
Do you have some tips?
The campus is crazy. I really like it. A lot of parks to rest and be with your friends. A lot of different places to eat and take a drink (asian, mexican, italian, american, for veggies,...). You have a lot of options for sport but like a lot. It's free and the infrastrucures are very nice and professional. You can find whatever you like to practice. They are also banks, stores for furnitures so yeah really nice campus. The registration was ok. Not easy bc to submitted our courses it was a bit tricky but now they changed so I think it's easier now. I would pick the same uni again in terms of infrastucures, green spaces, sports/activities and food but in terms of people and quality of the courses maybe not if you study Business. But I feel that every uni here is not the best for studying Business but it's just my opinion.
Best trips to do?
A lot. Puerto Escondido, Puebla, Puerto Vallarta, La Paz, Yucatan...
What do you absolutely need to know to live your best life in Mexico City?
I personnaly think that the biggest incovenient of living in Mexico City is the traffic. It's absolutely awful since 7am to 22pm if you use the car and for the public transports it's alright except in rushing hours obviously. It's not expensive. Uber is really expensive though. So I would recommend to take public tranports even though it takes longer sometimes. On the positive side, people here are soooo nice. They will always help you, talk to you and moreover, they love when you try to speak spanish with them. Actually, few people speak english so you better know the basics either way it can be complicated in everyday life. You also need to bring some cash when you do groceries in like Walmart and stuff bc old people put your stuffs in bags so it's better to give them like 10MXN, depends on how many bags you have. August till October, it rains a lot so bring some stuff for that and after it's way better but it's still cold sometime and during the night so bring warm clothes fr. Eat in the streets. Nothing is gonna happened to you like food poisonned. It's always very good (way better then some restaurants/taquerias) and it's also very cheap. Try as much food you can bc it's very diverse and very good. Be careful with police officers, never bring your passport with you, bring a copy (even in clubs except Departamento bring a real ID) because some are nice but others can ask you for money, passport, etc... Buses here are amazing. You have a lot of space for your legs so try it instead of taking planes bc it's often cheaper even if it takes more time. But planes are very cheap too.
Mexico City is huge so you will always have something to do, discover (a lot of cultural activities are free for students, you just have to show your student ID. It works everywhere in Mexico, not only Mexico City) so enjoy as much as possible. You will always find what you like, it's a city very diverse so you will find your happiness.

Horrible experience in this casa. The owners treat us like animals and just care about their money. When I arrived my room was not cleaned (blood and piss on the bathrooms, bed sheets with sperm). Not to mention the sort of cockroaches coming out of the walls. During the whole semester we had many problems: - The cleaning lady stole phones. - Only half of the gaz plates worked. - One washing machine for 30 people because they did not want to repair the second one - No washing machine during 2 weeks and a half because both broke down. - My fridge was leaking water. - WiFi does not work properly. The only solutions they found was say it was our fault if material broke down and theatened to take us in justice. I would recommend Covive or any other offer you find. They will nessarly have better services and more understanding owners as you can't do worse than Conexion. This house is a scam, and should cost half the price (even the ambassadors agree and told us they wouldn't live here). The only good thing is that you meet people.

Absolutely not, the rent is too expensive in general for the quality of the house and the services that they offered. The wifi is horrible at every floor, the gas is cutted off sometimes, that’s make the kitchen unusable for cook. We had a problem with the cleaning lady (theft, unavailability for 1 week). When we wanted to slightly negotiate the rents due to unavailable washing machines, they showed no professionalism and threatened to take us to court. I suggest Hang out mexico instead, as they are much more humane, serious, and honest about their accommodations.
