Acceptance of these terms
Studcasa is operated by Studcasa Limited, a company incorporated in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Studcasa”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Studcasa.
Eligibility
Studcasa is intended for students preparing for or undertaking an exchange. To use the service, you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. By using Studcasa, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
The service
Studcasa is a community platform that helps exchange students connect with peers, access city and housing guides, and find leads passed from cohort to cohort. We provide tools, content, and links — we are not a housing agency, landlord, broker, or relocation service, and we do not arrange or guarantee accommodation.
Acceptable use
When using Studcasa, you agree not to:
- Break any applicable law or infringe anyone else’s rights.
- Harass, abuse, scam, or harm other members.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or information.
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Scrape, copy, or resell content or member data without permission.
- Impersonate Studcasa or any other person or organization.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
User content
You remain responsible for anything you post or share through Studcasa. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host and display it as needed to operate the service. You must have the right to share whatever you post, and you agree it won’t be unlawful, misleading, or harmful.
Third-party links and WhatsApp groups
Studcasa links to external sites and to community groups on WhatsApp. We don’t control these third parties and aren’t responsible for their content, conduct, or availability. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by Meta’s terms and privacy policy. Community groups are member-run spaces — use your own judgement, and never send money or share sensitive information based on an unverified message.
Partner listings disclaimer
Some housing leads, services, or offers on Studcasa come from third-party partners. We share these for convenience and don’t endorse, verify, or guarantee any partner, listing, price, or availability. Any agreement you enter into with a partner is strictly between you and that partner. Always do your own due diligence before paying deposits or signing anything.
Intellectual property
The Studcasa name, logo, design, and original content are owned by Studcasa Limited and protected by intellectual property law. You may use the service for its intended, personal purpose, but you may not copy, modify, or redistribute our materials without our permission.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Studcasa is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don’t guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any lead, guide, or piece of information is accurate or suitable for your situation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studcasa Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from your dealings with other members or third-party partners. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute relating to them or to the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use Studcasa after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
