CamilleIÉSEG School of Management → BI Norwegian Business School · Primavera 2026“I really enjoyed the social life! There are several bars and clubs in the city centre, which makes it really easy to meet people and go out with other international students. KJ10 is probably the easiest option for international students, with commercial music and a fun atmosphere. Most other clubs require you to be 20+, so it’s something to keep in mind. Ocean Bar is also a nice place for drinks.
One important thing to know about Norway is that buying alcohol is quite restricted. In supermarkets, you can only buy beer (and some low-alcohol drinks), while stronger alcohol has to be bought in specialised shops called Vinmonopolet. You generally need to be 20+ for alcohol above a certain strength, and the opening hours for alcohol sales are quite strict, so you really need to plan ahead!”

DanielUniversity of Lausanne → BI Norwegian Business School · Primavera 2025“You should know that the tickets for public transport in oslo are only possible through the app called: ruter or you can go to the seven eleven and ask for a bus card there but trust me it’s much easier to use the app from the beginning !
In oslo you can experience all type of weather in the same day going from raining as hell to a beautiful sunny day in the afternoon to finallz end up with snow at night so be ready for every type of weather when you go out.
