TobiasDeggendorf Institute of Technology → Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona · Otoño 2025“The transportation system in Barcelona is really good and easy to understand. You can get the T-Jove ticket for 30€ which allows you to drive with all metro lines and busses for 3 months. The overall cost of living is similar to the one in german cities. Even though before my stay I've heard a lot of stories about Barcelona being a really unsafe city I must say that I personally didnt experience anything really weird. Sure if you're walking home from the club at 5 am you will run into some weird people but you can still easily avoid them and as long as you're walking in a group of at least 2-4 people the city is safe even during the night as long as you're staying in somewhat touristy areas. The food in Barcelona is really good but I think that Paella is a bit overrated. Tapas is where Barcelona really shines. The weather is incredible with hot weather from September until mid to late November. At the end of November it gets a bit colder and you can't really go swimming in the ocean anymore but it's still warm outside with temperatures even in December still rising to 20 degrees but you definitely need a jacket in the evening.”

LisaKedge Business School → Ramon Llul · Otoño 2024“The campus was nice, but not very inclusive since all the newsletters were in Catalan, so we couldn’t understand them. The administration was not very responsive, and the communication between the school and the partner university was average, as it felt like they were not aware of all the information. The schedules were light and quite good, around 20 hours of classes per week, but this was balanced out by a lot of work at home, which was hard to manage since we also had work from our school in France. Looking back, if I had known, I would have preferred going to Berlin. If I had to stay in Spain, I would have chosen a city like Madrid.”
📍 45 min from school by metro
MorganeKEDGE BUSINESS SCHOOL Marseille → IQS – Universitat Ramon Llull · Otoño 2024“The apartment was good we have 4 bedrooms including 3 singles beds and 1 double with 2 bathrooms, 2 wifi to capture well, a dishwasher, a hob, a washing machine on the other balcony with a drying rack, a large terrace. The stairs to get there are very steep, it's on the 4th and last floor, so for 25kg suitcases good luck. On the other hand, during the stay the room near the living room with the pink sheets had a wall that was starting to have mold everywhere and I don't know if she fixed that or if she just painted it. And from the apartment to IQS, just take the V7 bus which stops directly at the university and not the metro.”

MarionUniversitat de Barcelona → UB · Otoño 2025“Transport is easy,
cost of living is okay, I think it's cheaper than in France BUT this is such a touristic place and the prices for Sagrada familia, parc quell, casa battle and all those beautiful places are overpriced !!! that's crazy, and there aren't that many discounts for young people.
it's a city where you can feel safe, at anytime, any day of the week you are never alone in a street.
dont trust the weather. It's always sunnier and hotter than the weather plans. for example next week it's supposed to rain everyday and I'm sure there will be 1 hour of rain maximum.”
