What are some top bars, clubs, or events you recommend?
Roto, Défilé, Fretz, Basta, complex
Which classes do you recommend… or not?
I recommend to take only classes without exams. The exams are really intense and not many people manage to not fail it.
Do you have some tips?
The campus is great. A bike is a must. There is 8h per week so that’s really low to meet people. But you have work aside

How much was the rent per month?
650

In the town.
How can someone find this place?
on the web ( Maastricht Housing)
Would you recommend it?
Yes, because it’s very difficult to find a room for 6 months on Facebook. All rooms are furnished, but there’s a fire alarm almost every week, and sometimes people steal food.
What are some top bars, clubs, or events you recommend?
A lot of good bars, and some student event made by associations.
Which classes do you recommend… or not?
ECB Monetary Policy: You really have to stay on top of things—the professors have been studying economics for years, and the analysis is quite advanced. The highlight was getting the chance to visit the ECB. Audit & Assurance: Really interesting because there are often workshops led by the Big 4 firms, but the course itself is tough to follow. Global Banking: The readings are very complex, but since there’s no final exam, you don’t need to understand everything. Institutional Investors: Super interesting for understanding how pension funds and other institutions work. There are also conferences with asset managers, which is a big plus."
Do you have some tips?
It’s very theoretical—you’ll have to read about 100 pages a week. There are a lot of papers to read and very few exercises. The focus is heavily on economics, with little emphasis on finance. The upside is that there are frequent guest lectures with professionals, which is great for networking and landing an internship abroad. Becareful a semester validate 26 credits ects, you have to do 2 weeks more in January to validate the 30.
Best trips to do?
all cities nearby are pretty, Bruges, Lille, Amsterdam.
What do you absolutely need to know to live your best life in Maastricht?
A lot of events organized, and a lot of people partying the night. There is a lot of cools bars.

Where was it located?
45 minutes by car (no public transport) in the Belgium countryside (thimister)
How can someone find this place?
Airbnb
Would you recommend it?
This place was very nice but far from the school. Housing in the Netherlands is impossible, almost everybody lived in Belgium. Notes : I had several housing problems before finding this airbnb so at some point I lived with friends that went to the same Uni
What are some top bars, clubs, or events you recommend?
No idea, the citycenter is cute
Which classes do you recommend… or not?
No classes - only projects with companies you usually need to find by yourself. Great if you want to create your own start up because it will be considered as a real project by school. "Coaches" don't really have high level knowledge.
Do you have some tips?
It's quite small but cute and clean. Great choice if you want to travel, create your company, don't feel like school environment is your thing. Bad choice if you want to have a high level in any specialization, or if you want something organized and clear because it's usually chaos
Best trips to do?
Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, etc... schipol Airport is not that far. You also have trips organized with school : Romania, Brazil, Albany...
What do you absolutely need to know to live your best life in Maastricht?
It's very safe but public transport are expensive, biking is the traditional thing. It's quite safe compared to French cities. Living in Maastricht is impossible if you don't have a lot of many (and even so... very hard to find)
You only have "class" 2 days per week and you can choose when you want to pass your exam (1 oral exam per semester about your projects and development). School is big on softskills dvpt
