If you are living in San Pedro or La Fama, I also recommend spending time in downtown San Pedro. Every Sunday, there is a local market that is definitely worth visiting. Keep in mind that getting to downtown Monterrey can become expensive over time, especially if you rely on Uber, as the distance is quite long and traffic is often heavy.”

Going out to eat and party is way cheaper than in Europe so you should be enjoy going out as much as possible. The city is super safe although you should always be careful when you go out, especially at night in clubs or bars. The weather is very humid and it rains a bit more on average if you go during spring. Most of living expenses such as bedsheets, umbrellas, cleaning materials, etc can be bought for cheaper in Seoul so don’t bother taking them in your suitcase. And if you can, I would recommend taking two suitcases because you are likely to bring stuff home that you bought in Seoul (gifts, more clothes, etc)”
