Londres, c'est un monde entier dans une seule ville, avec des dizaines d'universités, toutes les cuisines et ambiances imaginables et des musées gratuits à l'infini, mais c'est aussi l'endroit le plus cher du Royaume-Uni, donc le budget, c'est la clé.

Tu obtiens un hub étudiant mondial où, quel que soit ton truc, il y a une scène, une asso ou un club pour ça. Ajoute des musées gratuits de classe mondiale et des connexions imbattables, et difficile de s'ennuyer.
La vie nocturne s'étend dans toute la ville, de Shoreditch et Camden à Peckham et Brixton, en plus des soirées d'unions étudiantes et du West End. Dans une ville aussi grande, ça aide d'avoir un point d'entrée.
Londres est la ville la plus chère du Royaume-Uni et le loyer va dominer ton budget, alors planifie soigneusement. La bonne nouvelle, c'est que la culture peut être quasi gratuite.
Les zones 2 et 3 équilibrent coût et trajet, et quasiment tout le monde vit en coloc. Protège-toi en visitant avant de payer et en vérifiant que la caution est protégée.
Le réseau de transport est immense et intégré, avec des plafonds tarifaires qui récompensent l'usage intensif. Une Student Oyster et une bonne appli rendent tout ça gérable.
Londres accueille un immense éventail d'universités, beaucoup de classe mondiale. L'année académique se déroule en général sur trois trimestres.
Depuis le Brexit, les citoyens de l'UE n'ont plus la libre circulation, donc la plupart des étudiants non irlandais ont besoin d'une autorisation pour étudier. Pour un échange allant jusqu'à six mois, tu peux souvent venir via la filière Short-term study ou simplement en tant que Standard Visitor, selon ta nationalité et la durée de ton cursus. Pour une année complète, il te faudra un Student visa parrainé par ton université d'accueil.
Ce qui s'applique dépend entièrement de ton passeport, donc confirme tôt avec l'université et les infos officielles du gouvernement britannique. Le Student visa nécessite une référence CAS de ton université, une preuve de fonds et généralement le supplément santé immigration, donc prévois du temps et de l'argent pour ça.
Tu peux manger le monde entier ici, souvent moins cher dans les quartiers périphériques. Le calendrier culturel ne s'arrête jamais vraiment.
Chaque point cardinal de Londres a son propre caractère et ses propres prix. La vraie texture de la ville vit dans ses quartiers, pas dans la zone 1.
Des villes historiques et la côte sont à une heure, et l'Eurostar met le Continent à portée de main. C'est l'une des bases les plus faciles pour voyager le week-end en Europe.
Londres vide les budgets plus vite que n'importe où au Royaume-Uni, alors suis tes dépenses dès le premier jour. Explore au-delà du centre pour trouver son vrai caractère.

Good atmosphere, very central, but it is advisable to book early to have a choice of different room options.

London is still a northern city, so you should expect bars and clubs to close early in general. Fatsoma and Rtickets are great apps for buying tickets to events at clubs. Soho is a great place to go out at the weekend and have a drink in the neighbourhood.

Read the course content carefully, but whatever happens, you will have a week at the beginning of the semester to change your courses. The finance courses are particularly interesting, although the others are too. Overall, all the courses are extremely well explained, which means you won't get lost.

London is certainly not the most exotic destination for an exchange programme, but if your goal is to travel throughout your exchange and have an unforgettable experience on the other side of the world, while working little, then LSE is probably not the ideal choice. You do have free time, but you mustn't forget that you're in London, the weather isn't great and you still have to work quite hard.

From London, many people travel to Oxford or Cambridge, which are accessible by train in 1.5 hours from London. Paris is also very close, as are the Netherlands, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.

A capital city that remains lively, but extremely expensive. The food is far from amazing. The weather is not as bad as people think, nor is the temperature.

If I could, I wouldn’t choose it again. It’s very expensive. And the management doesn’t really take care of your basic needs especially when they get their full payment. I would advise reading the reviews on trustpilot first

Business Ethics was very interesting but had a lot of readings. Introduction to Logic is an introductory course so I thought it would be easy. But it’s not!

The campus is way bigger than what I’m used to. It’s spread across many different buildings. The first day we had to take our passports and plane boarding passes to register. I thought it was odd. So keep your boarding passes intact for the registration if you’re travelling from outside the UK.

It is very expensive (although all London is), but honestly the building was worth it, everything was new, there were free events every week to meet people, free huge gym and yoga room, huge library and so many community spaces

Compared to Vienna it’s a whole different vibe and not as safe at night, but if you choose correctly and go with friends it’s fine

cost of living is very high for sure but there is so much cheap options for everything, make some research for cheaper alternatives. Also it is a city with a very fast dynamic do not rush into buying and consuming. A lot of things are free go look for them and dowload apps like Unidays for tips

I also went to a student night at a club in Canary Wharf, which was a great experience to meet other students and enjoy some music. If I had to choose again, I would definitely pick UEL. It offers a good balance between studies, campus life, and the opportunity to explore London.

There are so many great trips you can take from London! I’d recommend visiting Oxford or Cambridge for a day, both cities are beautiful and full of history. Brighton is also a great option if you want to enjoy the seaside and a more relaxed atmosphere. If you have a bit more time, Bath and Windsor are amazing for their architecture and culture. And for nature, a trip to the Cotswolds or Richmond Park is definitely worth it!
