Yes, because it is the best uni residence for international students in Kobe, it is cheap though the electricity bill is a bit unclear and expensive. But the neighborhood is nice and the city center close.

Manekineko Karaoke, Torikizoku and Yakiniku King are your best friends. A lots of jazz bars and a of restaurants everywhere.

Leadership class was awesome. The others are not that great.

The campus is nice but very high in the mountains. Sociability and campus life is a bit dead, especially if you don’t speak Japanese. Though joining clubs might help to integrate or joining international students targeted events.

Osaka and Kyoto are both the closest and coolest you can visit. It is easy to visit Japan as the region is central, but also Asian countries are relatively cheap to flight to.
What do you absolutely need to know to live your best life in Kobe?
Transports on top, nice and modern city, a beautiful mountain behind, good shops, but not very fun and sociable atmosphere, better go to Osaka for fun and partying or to Kyoto for tradition and beautiful landscapes as well as high quality food.
Enjoy the fact you can eat outside for cheap 🥲 be a bit careful in clubs and beware of your attitude in Japan as Japanese are a bit strict socially. But for the rest, enjoy !!! 🔥
