What students really pay

Not enough students have shared their rent for Riga yet for a median to mean anything. As soon as three do, the figure appears here.

The areas students chose

The neighbourhoods students named when we asked where they lived in Riga:

  • Dans Le Vieux Riga
  • Duck Republik
  • Ganu Iela In the Center
  • Latgale
  • Latgales
  • Old Riga And New Centre

Listed by how often students mentioned them, not by our opinion.

  • Student residences in Riga

23% of students in Riga stayed in a student residence, the second most common choice here. Residences usually cost more than a shared flat but come furnished, with bills included and no local guarantor to find. If you are arriving without a contact in Riga, this is the least stressful way in.

  • Cheap student accommodation in Riga

Students have not shared enough rent figures for Riga for us to name a floor price yet. What holds everywhere: sharing beats renting alone, one zone out from the centre cuts the bill hard, and a full-semester contract beats month to month.

  • Erasmus housing in Riga

Erasmus and exchange students in Riga face the same problem: a lease that has to start and end with the semester, signed from another country, often without a local guarantor. That is why colivings and shared flats are the most common answer here rather than a standard rental. The 22 reviews below come from students who did exactly that.
