“Public transport is okay and very cheap. Uber are cheap also (compared to France). Mexico city is a very big city but in the coolest neighbourhood you can do every thing walking (Roma Norte and condesa).”

“My biggest piece of advice is to travel as much as you can. Chile is an incredible country, but it's also the perfect gateway to explore South America. During my exchange, I visited the Atacama Desert, Chilean Patagonia, the Andes, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, and Brazil. Every destination was unique and unforgettable. Step out of your comfort zone, say yes to new experiences, and make the most of every opportunity”

“I liked its location and the ability to make friends along my corridor and its facilities (gym, catered accommodation, ect). I didn't like the price (expensive for montreal and the food was sometimes not the best)”

“Cost of living is cheap compared to europe but Almaty is quite expensive compared to the other cities of the region, Download also YANDEX immediately after landing in Almaty, you’ll find everything you need especially cheap taxis in the same format as Uber, There is also the Arasan Spa wich is incredible for only 3-4€ you can have a full access to a giant spa, sauna, swimming pool and bar. Cheap alcohol, cheap cigarets life is good”

Also follow Intègre (the international students association) on Instagram to join some of their social events - these can be hit or miss but are a great way to meet people in the first few weeks of term.”
