About Studcasa

We believe going on exchange — Erasmus, Study Abroad, Global Mobility — is one of the best ways for a student to grow. You discover the world, new cultures, and you come back changed. There is always a before and an after.

But preparing it? That part is often painful.

After his own exchange in Rio, Robin realised how hard it was to find reliable information — especially housing. The same was true for Guilhem in Kazakhstan, Paul in Hong Kong, and Louis in Mexico. Every semester, a new cohort of students repeats the exact same struggle the last one had. Same struggle, new students — copy-paste pain.

We started solving it the only way we knew: by messaging previous students, collecting tips, and sharing them. First within our school, then across schools, then across continents.

We quickly learned something important: each university sends only a few students per city — not enough to help each other. But when you combine students from many universities going to the same destination, the community becomes instantly useful.

And that’s how Studcasa was born. A handful of WhatsApp groups turned into a global student network. Today, there are 250+ groups worldwide — connecting students before they even take the flight.

Beyond community, we built a tech layer that lets previous cohorts “pass the torch” — showing exactly where they lived, how they found it, and even handing over housing to the next students. No more starting from zero. It becomes a chain of help from student to student, semester after semester.

Inside the groups, students find roommates, solve admin problems together, help each other with VISA & registration, and feel supported instead of lost. The experience becomes global from day one — friendships, collocations, travel plans, even future startups.

We’re expanding globally — targeting 100,000 students per year by the end of 2026 — while keeping the network safe, friendly, and genuinely helpful. We’re also growing our university partnership layer through Uniloop, so institutions can better support their outgoing students.

Our mission is simple: make exchange preparation a 5-star experience, at no cost to students.
